Each year I receive an ornament from my grandparents for Christmas. Over the years, this has become a collection as I continue to receive a new one each year. Similar to my collection, you can continue to add to your Iowa State Fair collection starting this week. This is also your chance to start a new collection if you don’t have any Iowa State Fair merchandise yet.
This year we are offering pre-ordering for our 22nd edition cookbooks, our pottery piece, and our Sticks plaques. All pre-ordered merchandise will be shipped this year following the Fair. These items will also be found at our six merchandise booth locations during the State Fair. You can find more information about each item below:
POTTERY: QUART CROCK- The Blue Ribbon Foundation is excited to partner with Central Academy Potters of Des Moines Public Schools to produce the 2024 Iowa State Fair pottery piece. The students designed the quart crock with a creamy clay body, cobalt blue design in a honeycomb or houndstooth pattern, and an embossed “Iowa State Fair” stamp. These are available for $45 each.
IOWA STATE FAIR PLAQUE: SHOW YOUR BEST- This 7”x7” limited edition wood plaque, created by Sticks, captures just a few of the talents showcased at the Iowa State Fair. Iowans are known for their artistic abilities, culinary skills, sewing expertise and green thumbs. Our beloved event is the perfect place to “Show Your Best.” The Sticks plaques are $135 each.
22ND EDITION COOKBOOK- This cookbook features select ribbon-winning recipes from the 2022 and 2023 Iowa State Fairs. Delicious appetizers, snacks, side dishes, main dishes, breads, desserts and more are just waiting to be made in your kitchen at home. Get it now for $20!
