Growing up in a small town where everybody knows everybody has its perks, and one of those perks was that I got to know some pretty outstanding members of my community who truly made a lasting positive impact on those around them.
I think everyone knows someone who has made a positive impact like that. I think of someone with a strong work ethic, someone who takes pride in their state and their hometown, and someone always offering a helping hand, all with a smile on their face. If you know someone who fits that description, you can help recognize them for all they do by nominating them for 2024 Iowan of the Day.
The Blue Ribbon Foundation, in partnership with Cookies BBQ Food Products, will recognize ten individuals from across the state from August 8th-18that the Iowa State Fair. Included with their day of recognition are:
